installed an advanced Electric Vehicle Lab at the PSG GRD Museum of Science and
Technology, Coimbatore. This installation represents a significant leap in
democratizing access to cutting-edge electric mobility technologies, allowing
the public to engage with real EV systems outside the walls of academic or
industrial R&D settings. Situated within one of Tamil Nadu's most prominent
museums dedicated to science education and innovation, the lab serves as a
unique bridge between public engagement, technology awareness, and
sustainability education. The initiative is part of Ecosense's larger vision to

Unlike passive exhibits, the EV lab at PSG GRD Museum is a working demonstration platform that simulates a complete EV environment. It includes three major modules: the Electric Vehicle Drive Line Simulator, the Regenerative Battery Cycler, and a Modular Adaptive Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVSE). The Drive Line Simulator
replicates the propulsion system of electric vehicles, demonstrating how traction motor ( PMSM) behave under different loading and driving conditions. The Battery Cycler
facilitates testing of battery packs under resistive loading
conditions, allowing users to observe real-time charge-discharge cycles,
efficiency variations, and thermal impacts. Meanwhile, the EVSE showcases
dynamic EV charging behaviors, simulating public and home charging scenarios
with smart adaptability to different vehicle types. These components are
interlinked to enable comprehensive understanding of how modern electric vehicles
are powered, controlled, and maintained.
The placement of the Electric Vehicle Lab within a science museum opens access to a far broader audience than traditional classroom-based or institutional lab environments.
